Village of Vank is unlike other villages and towns in Nagorno-Karabakh. Levon Hairapetian, an enterpriser who was born in Vank but now living in Moscow provided a large budget to improve local people’s lifes. He financed large redevelopment of the village, including a hotel, a school, a new road to Stepanakert and on october 16th 2008 a mass wedding in Stepanakert where 700 couples from all Karabakh were married.
